Summary

The play’s prologue opens with a discussion between two collective farms as to who should occupy a particular valley. The Collective Goat Farm Rosa Luxemburg, who was ordered to evacuate the land as Nazi tanks advanced, had settled nearby; Collective Fruit Farm Galinsk, many of whom fought on behalf of their countrymen and women, had begun to settle in the region after the conflict.
