Chapter 12 & 13 Summary

In Chapter 12, on Sunday morning, Qwill is still disturbed by the message from Joy. When Koko shreds the story about Emma Wimsey, Qwill is possessed by a sudden urge to visit the Senior Care Facility, so he takes flowers to Emma whose health is poor. He talks to Irma Hasselrich about the possibility of interviewing other patients, but she declines his dinner invitation. A caretaker brings Qwill a bag of Emma's collectibles and writings which she wants him to have because her family is not interested in them. Back at the cabin, Koko investigates Emma's belongings while tapping his tail against the table.

In Chapter 13, Iggy returns to work on Monday morning, and Qwill restrains the urge to question or rebuke the carpenter. Promising to return in time to pay Iggy for the day's work, Qwill locks the cabin and drives to Pickax...
