Chapter 35 Summary
Carrie's family takes her to the train station for her trip to New York. When she arrives, she walks out of Penn Station to catch a cab. When she leans in a taxi cab window to ask how much the fare is, someone steals her Carrie bag with all of her money, phone numbers and address in it. She sells her hat for 50 cents so she can make some phone calls. She calls George's house but he isn't home. She rummages through her journal to find the name and number for Donna's cousin. The person who answers is Samantha Jones.
