Chapter 9 Summary

Carrie's dad almost passes out when he sees Dorrit's hair. He tries to talk to her, but he's too scientific and technical. The phone rings and Carrie prays it's Sebastian, but it's George asking her out for a date on Saturday. Carrie draws tears on her face with a black eyeliner pencil and goes into Dorrit's room. Missy, Carrie's other sister, calls upstairs that someone is here. When Dorrit comes down with her pick and blue hair and Carrie with her clown face, they see the guest is Sebastian.

Sebastian takes Carrie to the art museum. On the drive, he talks about traveling in Europe. Carrie wonders how a boy like this could like a girl like her. While they're in the museum, he tells her his parents are in Boston and invites her to his house. When they get to Sebastian's room...
