Chapter 8 Summary

Maggie, The Mouse, and Carrie are dissecting the conversation Carrie and Sebastian had on the roof of the barn. It's been four days since it happened and Sebastian hasn't called or said anything more to Carrie. Cynthia mentions the vandalism to the barn, and everyone involved laughs every time they see the 198 and the big splotch of paint from when the can fell before Carrie could finish the zero.

Carrie goes through the motions, but all she thinks about is Sebastian. On Saturday he still hasn't called, so Carrie packs her suitcase to go to Brown for her college interview. Brown is her father's alma mater. Carrie attends her interview and tours the campus with a student guide, George. George invites her to a concert that night, but all Carrie can think about is Sebastian. George becomes more interesting to Carrie when he...
