Summary

In Chapter 9, Ron and Pauline discuss the night they spent together over lunch. Pauline refers to Ron as her lover.

In Chapter 10, Elizabeth wakes blindfolded in the back of a speeding van. Stephen is with her. She checks his pulse and notes that he is not panicking. Elizabeth knows whatever is about to happen, she will have to be the one to get them out of it.

In Chapter 11, Connie is not upset when she learns that Ibrahim is not a journalist, like he claimed he was when he asked for a meeting with her. He tells her that he is a psychiatrist and asks if she will complete a task for him. He wants her to befriend Heather and find out if she murdered Bethany.
