Chapters 33-36 Summary
In chapter thirty-three, Neal calls his father and arranges to meet with him. A short time later, Carl Pratt arrives at Backman's hotel room with Ira Clayburn. Backman tells Clayburn that he has JAM and that he would like to give it to someone in the government. Clayburn suggests that Backman give it to Major Wes Roland, the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency. Clayburn calls the Pentagon and arranges the meeting. At the Pentagon, Backman tells Roland all he knows about the Neptune project and JAM. Backman admits that he tried to sell the program to Iraq, but the sale was interrupted by his indictment. Backman also tells them China is the owner of the satellites and even explains how they launched the satellites without anyone being aware. Roland makes a deal with Backman, agreeing to call of the Iraqis...
