Summary

In Chapter 27, Sunny tells Blister she should not kill Blaze. Blaze is afraid to fight but Glacier refuses to fight in her place. Sunny urges Blaze to give up without a fight but Blister refuses, saying she is going to kill Blaze. The fighting begins with Blister clearly tormenting Blaze rather than rushing to kill her. Starflight points out that dragon princesses in most tribes fight to the death for the throne, and that they do not have to do anything else. Blister will kill Blaze and become queen, but “the war is over” (237). The dragonets, still at Clay's side, talk about the situation, including that Blister will not be a good queen. Sunny wishes for any other dragon in the royal line. Smolder arrives at Sunny's side with Flower on his shoulder. He considers running away, knowing Blister will kill him...
