Summary
A year after Becky, Harry, and Leon leave London in Chapter 1 and Chapter 14, Becky is returning to London. A year before, she called her Uncle Ron to ask him not to retaliate against Harry’s family. Over the last eight months, Becky and Harry had driven around continental Europe. While they had the “happiest time they had known,” reality eventually came calling. Becky missed dancing and started to compose a letter to her mother in her mind. Later, Harry receives an email that tells her Pico is out of jail and wants to meet; she prepares to meet Pico in a hotel in Fribourg. When Becky feels like she is becoming “just whatever Harry saw,” she decides to return to London. The two women then decide to part, choosing to enjoy “their last night together rather than cry and fight” (382). In London...
