Summary

In Chapter 7, Lily Mackenzie could hear Abby and her mother talking. She believed they were having a pleasant conversation. She wished she could do the same with her daughter. Morgan had begged her to go on the trip, but was riding with Andy, a boy her age, and ignoring her mother.

In Chapter 8, Sebastian sat across from Abby at dinner that evening. Abby continued to be polite but short with him. He tried to make conversation by telling Abby that he and Lincoln were covering the ride for their newsletter. Sebastian had learned that Abby had a boyfriend named Mark. He was not concerned, however, since Abby and Mark were not married.
