Summary

When the phone rings in the chapter titled “Tuesday, September 29th,” Cass answers it and tells the silent caller that he is not who she thought he was and asks who he is. He calls back after she hangs up, but she does not answer as she does not want to give him what he wants. She gardens and decides that she wants her life back, and in order to get it, she needs to find out who the caller is. She feels that she needs help, so she calls Rachel to see whether she can meet her after work. Rachel says she can and they agree to meet at the Spotted Cow. Cass leaves a note for Matthew saying that she is going to get a new cell phone and leaves. When she gets there, she sees Rachel...
