Summary
In Chapter 51, Keith and Ainsley celebrated the birth of their second daughter about the same time Burch filed for an appeal to the state supreme court. Keith was not involved in the appeal process and could concentrate on his first official election.
Keith was not opposed in the election. Meanwhile, the state police sent in spies regularly to the clubs on the strip. They reported there was no visible gambling or prostitution.
Lance was halfway through his prison sentence. Even though Hugh was a legend at Parchman because he had killed a DA, Lance was not impressed. He thought what Hugh had done was stupid.
