Chapter Eight (Sky) Summary

Doctor Z thinks Ruby suffers from panic attacks because she is unable to speak the truth. As an exercise, Doctor Z asks Ruby to write down all the things she lied to Jackson about during their relationship. Ruby comes up with eleven lies. When she gets to eleven, she realizes she could write down forty, or eighty, or one hundred. Doctor Z also asks Ruby who has been lying to her. Ruby practically shouts "Jackson and Kim." Jackson and Kim became friends around Thanksgiving. Ruby and Jackson went to Kim's house for dinner one night, and suddenly, the two were joking back-and-forth in Japanese. From then on, they were best friends, talking about Japan, speaking Japanese, and practicing their lettering together.
