Chapter Two (Finn) Summary

Ruby has been broken up with Jackson for sixteen days and counting. Even though it's only her third meeting with Doctor Z, she is sick of talking about the boyfriend list and doesn't want to discuss her second boyfriend, Finn. When Doctor Z says they can talk about her most current boyfriend (Jackson), Ruby clams up before begrudgingly saying she'd rather talk about Finn.

Finn Murphy was in Ruby's second grade class. He was kind of nerdy and shy, but Ruby still liked him. They bonded over a wildcat book in the library, and as the two were excitedly discussing the book together, fellow classmates began teasing them: "Ruby and Finn, sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"
