Rusty Eggers

Rusty Eggers is a candidate for the office of the President of the United States. Some people believe that Eggers is tyrannical and will be a dangerous leader for the country. Other people are staunch supporters of Eggers and will remain faithful to him regardless of what he might have done. At one point, Eggers is described as being a sociopath, a charming person who is evil under his charm. He is compared to Hitler at various points in the novel.

Eggers’ behavior suggests that he is just as cruel and tyrannical as his dissenters claim that he is. He admits to sexually harassing a teenaged girl and inviting her to join him in his hotel room.
