Summary

In Chapter 77, Aikon and Kimi flew to the States for a book tour. On the flight, they talked about Benny and Annabelle.

In Chapter 78, Annabelle did not tell Benny about her layoff, the CPS visit, or No-Good’s “threatening letters” (475). After the Bindery incident, he was readmitted to the psych ward. Meanwhile, Annabelle felt overwhelmed thinking about discarding her possessions.

In Chapter 79, Cory began visiting Annabelle. During one visit she helped Annabelle start sorting through her belongings. Learning about CPS made Cory worry about Annabelle’s future. She encouraged Annabelle to see Benny, not her possessions, as the sum of her life. Feeling upset, Annabelle told Cory to take Tidy Magic.

In Chapter 80, throughout her tour, Aikon worried about her book’s message. She wished she could tell readers, “You are perfect, just as you are” (486)!
