Chapter 28 – The Prohibition

Beltrame, the Overseer, came on stage. He told the audience that their program enabled governments to rid their communities of clairvoyants. After his speech, the harlies came out to perform the life story of Edward VI. Beltrame was playing the King. The room went dark when a séance, which was part of the play, was performed. The Warden took Paige’s arm and told her to come with him.
