Chapter 26 – Change

When she woke the Warden had nothing negative to say only that Jax treated her like a commodity while Nick liked her and cared about her welfare. The man she gave herself to was an amaurotic. His mind was bland. A clairvoyant’s mind was rich like oil. She asked the Warden what his mind was like. Fire, he told her. Immediately, she thought of what oil and fire did when it was mixed – explode! The Warden saw another memory with a great deal of blood. But it meant nothing to her. He told her he would help her escape. She wanted to know his motives but he wouldn’t say. It would be best if she didn’t know in case Nashira nabbed her and interrogated her.
