Chapter 18 – The Good Morrow

Paige slept deeply, allowing her brain to recover from the terror. When she woke she found herself clamped to Warden’s bed. The drapes were pulled around the bed. Paige peaked out when she heard voices. It was Warden and Terebell Sheratan speaking in a strange language. They were looking closely at some object. It was her phone! If they found the phone, they must have found the pamphlet with Jax’s numbers. They could trace it back to Seven Dials. She had to get her phone.

The Warden pulled the drapes back on the bed after Terebell left. Paige demanded her phone back. It was safe with Terebell. They were keeping it from Nashira. Her red-jackets would be able to extract numbers for her syndicate friends. Paige denied that she was in the syndicate. She was angry with him...
