Chapter 15 – Fall of a Wall

Suhail brought Paige back to the Warden. He was upset that she was bloodied and that her tunic was torn. Suhail insisted that she apologize to the Warden. When she refused he cuffed her. When he started to hit her again, the Warden blocked him. He would deal with her in privacy. Paige gave him descriptions of the red-jackets who injured her. He would make sure they never harmed her again. He had ordered her a fine meal that he urged her to eat. Even though she initially protested, she ate every bit.
