Chapter 1 – The Curse

There are not many like Paige. They look like everyone else and they are out there – everywhere. In 2056, she lived in London and quit her private school at sixteen to work. Although her father thought she was not ambitious, she wound up working in the criminal underworld of Scion London – or SciLo as it was called on the streets. She was a voyant (as in clairvoyant) for the syndicate working for the Underlord. She was a mollisher, a protégée of the mime-lord Jaxon Hall who was over in the I-4 area and referred to as Dials.
