Summary

In April 5, a Horologist named Arkady “dreamseeds” Holly in an effort to get her to 119A. There, Sadaqat is showing off the new garden he's created on the rooftop. He is apparently a loyal servant. Holly arrives and looks around the house. She learns some details about the Horologists, including that their current bodies can die but they will return in another body after 49 days. None of them knows why or how it happens. Each time they are resurrected, they switch genders. There is no cost associated with the reincarnations, unlike the Anchorites' method of retaining youth.

They explain to Holly how the Blind Cathar was sentenced to death for witchcraft but disappeared before he could be executed, apparently absorbed into the walls of the Chapel so that he became the Chapel. Part of the compound was destroyed and a...
