Summary
Chapter 53
Meanwhile, there are still battles raging below Festus and Leo. In the middle of a skirmish, Will runs up to Nico and whispers "Octavian" in his ear. Nico and Will rush up just as Octavian finishes re-rigging one of the onagers. He's going to be a hero, he says. He's going to be the one that saves the day by blasting Gaea from the sky. He reminds them of the prophecy that Apollo had given him...that he would be the savior of Rome. Both Nico and Will try to get him to stop as they see that in his haste Octavian has gotten his robes and ropes tangled into the mechanism. Nico remembers his father's words from the Chapel of Bones, that some deaths cannot be prevented. Nico fears that the onager will strike Festus and Leo, but he also believes...
