Summary

Chapter 49

Just when things look their most dire, the heavens literally part and the gods charge the battlefield in all of their glory. By this time the Argos II has arrived and Leo releases Nike, whose mind has been restored. All the gods team up with Jason and his friends, and with their help Jason and the rest are able to wipe out all of the giants. For a brief moment Jason is reunited with his father, first fighting by his side, then speaking with his father about how they wish things could be otherwise. Zeus tells Jason that from the time he was born he had been given over to Hera to appease her. His father says that he has wished many times that it could have been different.
