Chapter 41
The Argo II lands at the outskirts of Piraeus and everyone is gearing up to storm the Acropolis when they’re detained by a snake-man, named Kekrops. He was once the king of Athens, and offers to help them. He says that he and his kind took to the underground when they were overrun by Romans. He offers to take the heroes to the Acropolis. Piper becomes suspicious so she employs her charm-speak. With a quick song she’s able to get the truth out of Kekrops, and they learn that it’s a trap. But the truth is, they have to move forward anyway because this is the only way through. Hazel and Frank decide to have Piper sing the entire way so that they can get Kekrops and his men to take them through the tunnels safely. The only problem...
