Summary

Chapter 27

Percy and Jason manage to destroy Polybotes’ swimming basilisks; unfortunately ,during all of this Percy gets poison and Jason is put at a disadvantage. Jason needs to make a bargain with Kym, to whom he offers a shrine and an action figure. It seems that’s enough for her and it’s off with Polybotes’ head in one swoop.

Chapter 28

Kym does Percy a favor and heals Percy of his poisoning, warning him that his blood will awake Gaea. Percy and Jason leave but they take a break on the dome of the sunken temple for a moment before going back to the ship. Jason realizes his own wounds have been healed too, much to his confusion. He is glad for Kym's assistance and he learns a big lesson about listening to other's problems.
