Summary
Chapter 11
As the heroes suspected, Nike is suffering from the dissension between the Romans and the Greeks. The Goddess can’t decide if she is Nike, the Greek, or Victoria, the Roman. She is constantly splitting her image to first one, then the other. Even though they attempt to reason with her, she is out of her mind. They tell her that Gaea is the enemy, not them, but she wants competition, and a winner, and a loser. She demands that they fight to the death for her honor. She gives them a few hours to gather what they will need to meet her on the battlefield.
Chapter 12
The heroes manage to trick and trap Nike in a golden net. But it is obvious that she is out of her mind and she won’t quit babbling incoherently. One of her rants catches...
