Summary
In Chapter 51, Natalie was surprised to find Mikhail sitting next to her on the plane to America. She asked him if he thought that was a good idea.
In Chapter 52, as Saladin drove out into the American countryside, he thought about the seriousness of the attack he was about to carry out. He wondered if Gabriel knew about what he was planning and how he had found out about it. He drove until he came to an A-frame cottage where he was to meet Qassam, Saladin’s primary operative in Washington. Because Qassam knew so much about the attack, Saladin knew he could not allow him to remain alive. After debriefing Qassam, he walked him to his car. Saladin shot Qassam in the head several times and then rolled his car into a nearby pond.
