Summary
In Chapter 38, the next day, Natalie was taken to the place called Camp Saladin to begin her ISIS training. Natalie was escorted to the camp by Safia, a woman whom Lelia worshiped but Natalie wished she could kill. Safia bragged that she had gotten to meet Saladin after the bombing in Paris. It was at this camp that Natalie’s training as a terrorist started. She was taught about assembling bombs and detonating a suicide vest. She saw patients at the infirmary at the camp. Safia was one of the patients whom Natalie saw in the infirmary. When Natalie asked about Safia’s participation in the bombing in France, Safia said it was a dream come true. She said she wished it had been a suicide mission.
