Summary
In Chapter 16, when there were terrorist attacks, often both Arab perpetrators and Israeli victims were treated at Hadassah Medical Center, the trauma facility where Dr. Natalie Mizrahi worked. Dr. Mizrahi spoke both Hebrew and Arabic fluently. Her first patient for the day was a terrorist responsible for inflicting life threatening injuries on three other people. The terrorist’s wound, one gunshot, was not life threatening. The guards who stayed in the room while Natalie was working on the terrorist argued the terrorist did not deserve the respect Natalie was giving him because he was the cause of the other’s injuries. Meanwhile, because Natalie was able to speak to the man in Arabic, he assumed that she was one of them. After Natalie removed the bullet, the man wanted to keep it as a souvenir.
