Harry Bosch
Harry Bosch is a detective with the LAPD. Bosch once worked with the elite Robbery-Homicide Division, but has been moved to the detective's desk at the Hollywood station because of some accusations that caused him to come under investigation by Internal Affairs. Bosch is a good detective, however, and he enjoys his work. Therefore, when a body is discovered while he is the on call detective and he does not get the call, Bosch is upset. Bosch goes to the scene of the death and demands to know why he was not called. It turns out that the body discovered in a Hollywood motel is that of Calexico Moore, a cop who has been missing for just over a week. It is because of this possible identity that the Robbery-Homicide Division was called in instead of Bosch; however, this does not keep Bosch from becoming involved.
