Chapters 22-25 Summary

Bosch drives out to EnviroBreed and finds it is directly across the street from Zorrillo's ranch and next to a furniture making business. Bosch goes inside and talks to the manager, only to find him less than willing to cooperate. Bosch is told to leave, but instead slips into the office of the USDA agent who is supposed to oversee the packing of the containers scheduled to cross the border. Bosch asks the USDA man if he does witness the packing of all the boxes and he insists he does, but Bosch does not believe him. Bosch attempts to check out the rest of the facility, but the manager catches him and sends him away. Bosch checks into a hotel and calls Teresa to find out how Porter died. Porter died from strangulation with a homemade garrote, just like Jimmy Kapps...
