Chapters 10-15 Summary
Chapter 10. Dawson has moved to a hotel in New Bern to avoid trouble with his family. As he runs on the beach, he tries to figure out who the man is that he keeps seeing in times of trouble. At the same time, Amanda and her mother have an argument over Amanda's behavior over the past few weeks, as well as her behavior in her relationship with Tuck. Amanda suggests to her mother that she feels she is living a life that was not meant to be hers.
Chapter 11. Amanda and Dawson meet at Tuck's and decide to take the Stingray to Vandemere. The drive is pleasant and Amanda finds herself thinking about Dawson and his deep sense of love for her.
Chapter 12. Amanda and Dawson arrive at the cabin and are shocked by the riot of color that greets them...
