Summary

In Chapter 12, Zoey feels angry and insulted by Ms. Rochambeau telling her to suck it up. She goes home and finds that her mother has gone grocery shopping and bought her favorite foods. Zoey goes to pick Hector up and is even happier to see that her mother is in a productive, happy mood. She talks to Connor, and he tells her about a tattoo he got after coming out to his parents and traveling to Peru.

In Chapter 13, Zoey hears her mom come home late that night. She goes out to spy on her and Lenny and hears Lenny berating her for buying yogurts because they are too expensive.
