Summary
Ezra is deeply hurt when he sees Evan and Charlotte hugging and kissing during lunch. He's also hurt by the fact that none of his friends visited him in the hospital. He has avoided all of them, refusing invitations over the summer. He says he couldn't have gone to play paintball or gone rafting with them even if he'd wanted to. There are rumors about Cassidy but Ezra's new friends never talk about them at lunch because there are plenty of topics to interest them.
Ezra has a meeting with his senior adviser and finds that he's angry at the idea of filling out college applications.
