Meadowlake

Meadowlake is an assisted living facility for the elderly. It is located near Grant and Fiona’s home in rural Ontario, Canada. At about the age of 70, Fiona checks in to Meadowlake due to mental deterioration. There, she loses her memory of Grant, and she forms a close bond with a fellow resident named Aubrey.

Georgian Bay

Georgian Bay is a large bay in Ontario, Canada. Grant and Aubrey live in a house in rural Ontario near the coast of Georgian Bay. They moved there after Grant’s infidelities and after their respective retirements. The house in which they live was once owned and occupied by Fiona’s grandparents.

Marian and Aubrey live in a house relatively close to Grant and Marian’s house. After Aubrey is discharged from Meadowlake, Grant goes to Marian’s house to ask if Aubrey would be able to visit...
