Summary
In chapter eleven, Kayla arrives late at the meeting. She says she doesn't want to explain to the others that she'd been trying to get her "drunken mother" settled in. Allyson suggests that genetic coding, if it is made readily available to insurance companies, could save "millions" by simply refusing to insure those most likely to get catastrophic illnesses. There is an article about a proposal that would require anyone seeking public assistance to have a bar code. Senator David Young is speaking out against the proposal but his opponents say the movement against the bar codes are simply a lot of youngsters seeking to rebel.
