Summary

In Chapter 14, Saloni sent her son to collect Geeta. Saloni told him to mention “something bout Farah-aunty and samosas” if she tried to refuse the invitation (134). Geeta immediately agreed to walk back to the house with him. Outside, the other women from the loan group sat on the porch inking henna onto their arms. Saloni pulled her aside and whispered that Preity saw Ramesh in Kohra and would be happy to announce that he was not dead if Geeta agreed to help her get rid of her husband.
