Bobby Dakota, married to Julie Dakota, is the owner of Dakota and Dakota, a private investigation firm. Bobby is a lover of swing music and a perpetually happy person, entranced with life and all the good things in it. Bobby lives life for the moment, unwilling to consider that bad things can happen to good people until he meets Frank Pollard, an amnesiac searching for the truth about his identity and what happens while he is asleep.
