Chapters 26-30 Summary

Violet soars above the ground, her mind melded with that of a hawk hunting. While in the hawk, Violet is also in bed with her sister and their minds are joined as well. The hawk and Violet spot a mouse far below, and the bird dives, grabbing the creature. Violet joins the mind of the mouse and relishes the sensation of being the hawk rending the animal's flesh, and the feelings of the mouse as it is devoured.
