Summary

In Chapter 9, a few months after Zuha breaks up with Anvar, Anvar decides to transfer to Boston University. He becomes at least partially interested in religion, and he wonders what to do with his life. He decides to go to law school at the College of William and Mary. Following September 11, 2001, lawyer has become a popular career choice among Muslim Americans. He and Zuha never told anyone that they were dating.
