Summary
Paul checks in on his nephew to find him awake but uncommunicative. Janus tries to explain to David that in his opinion, devolving the human race is the only way to keep them safe. When the cube opens a way out, David leads them to the entrance where Kamau is dead on the floor. The helicopter is gone but Milo tells David that the Knights have a plane. Dorian drags Kate out to a glowing portal nearby and the three of them cross over it together. The air is close, but the ship recognizes Kate and the oxygen is returning. She knows now that she is intelligent enough to win. David is cleared to land at Ceuta where the Berber chief greets him, smiling. They drive until Janus tells David to stop next to a rock face...
