Summary
David prods Kate for more information regarding her Atlantean memories. She explains how the tubes work and how with a few genetic alterations they can disable aging. She and her partner were anthropologists studying human evolution. If they were killed in the field, the tubes resurrected them so they could continue their work. In Kate’s case, the memories were implanted in her as a fetus, but didn't erupt into consciousness until she reached the standard age of Atlantean maturity. She had given humans the Atlantis Gene so that they would survive the Toba Catastrophe, but periodic modifications were needed because humans weren't ready for the advanced gene.
