Summary
Dr. Nigel Chase runs experiments on the silver case which sits on a table in a clean room. He uses a joystick to manipulate it through the glass. He discovers that the box is emitting subatomic particles called neutrinos. Usually found in the sun or nuclear reactors, Nigel wonders how they could be happening here. He tries another regimen, and this time the box begins to change. A vortex forms, appearing to eat the case from the inside out. The building is filled with light, and an explosion immediately consumes it and the six office towers around it. Then it continued on, spreading out and scorching the earth until it finally recedes to its initial point of origin.
