Leigh’s House
Leigh’s House in the States is where her mother commits suicide and many of the memories take place. Leigh sees many memories of her time as a child in the home. She also recalls moments such as her father sending her off to camp so that she would be unaware of her mother’s electroconvulsive therapy. She also has many memories of Axel visiting her home and painting images of her mother and their cat, Meimei.
Waipo and Waigong’s Apartment
Waipo and Waigong’s apartment in Taiwan is where Leigh spends the majority of the novel after her father gets into a fight with Waipo and leaves.
