Summary
In Chapter 94 Leigh feels that they are flying through darkness and hears various whispers of other memories. She gets separated from the others as she sees Jingling at lunch with Waipo and Waigong telling them about Dory’s American boyfriend. They tell her the relationship must end. Waigong says Dory does not know what love is and she must marry a Chinese man. The scene changes to a room where her father talks to Waipo and Waigong about Leigh. He shows her one of Leigh’s self-portraits and tells her to keep the art as Leigh draws constantly. Waigong says they never should have disowned Dory when she chose to marry Brian and apologizes. Another scene shifts to Leigh and her family playing cards before her father’s work took him away. The scene shifts again to Brian holding tickets to Taiwan but...
