Summary
In Chapter 54, they go to a church where Leigh’s mom learned to play the piano from a Catholic nun. Leigh asks to go inside and they find a digital piano. Feng says the one Leigh’s mother used to play must be gone and Leigh is disappointed. Outside, Leigh thinks she hears someone playing but does not see anyone. A young man approaches Leigh and asks if she is American. He then yells at them, and Feng translates it as birds belong in the sky. The man vanishes after.
