Summary

In Chapter 35, Todd is forced to watch as Viola is Asked. It is the first thing he remembers after the bomb detonated. He listens as Viola refuses to tell Prentiss, who is questioning her with the help of Hammar, anything. Because Viola refuses, Prentiss motions to Hammar to put her into the water. When they bring Viola out of the water Prentiss hits Todd with his Noise when Todd bangs against the glass separating them. Todd can tell that Davy is worried about him as he watches them put Viola back in the water when she refuses to answer again. Fearing that Prentiss will drown her Todd shouts out the direction from which the attack will come. He realizes Prentiss has turned off the sound in the room so he cannot hear him.
