Summary
In The Wrong Ghosts, the narrator says that Zakaria will die in Beirut tonight. He feels something nagging at him and thinks of the house where he played with Idris. He remembers their fight and how he feels guilty but not sorry. He dreams of marrying Mazna when he is awoken by his mother and men looking for him. Zakaria remembers a man that was killed during the civil war and recognizes one of the men as that man’s brother. Zakaria says he did three bad things. He stole many things when he was 13 and took someone that his friend loved. Then, during the war in Lebanon, he watched as his other friend beat a man to death.
