Melania

Melania is the main character of the short story. The third person narration is limited to her consciousness throughout the short story. Melania is married to Donald Trump, with whom she has one child, Barron. As Donald's third wife, Melania struggles to navigate her relationships with Donald's children from his previous marriages.

In the narrative present, Melania is preparing for a party later that evening. It is her parents' wedding anniversary, and she is eager to host an impressive celebration. Because Donald is busy with his campaign for presidency, Melania decides to order the floral arrangements for her event on her own. She also decides to use a florist other than Donald's favorite, and to use her own money to buy the flowers.

As she completes her morning beauty routine, she contemplates the coming evening. She is in a particularly good mood, which she attributes to the sunshine...
